Spa and local taxes
The municipality of Zurzach levies a statutory spa and local tax (formerly visitor’s tax), which must be paid by all guests staying overnight in the municipality of Zurzach. This income is used to finance tourist facilities and events.
The spa and local taxes are used to finance the following services, among others:
- Comprehensive information for guests via printed material and, above all, in person at the counter and on the phone
- Maintenance of green spaces, flowers and winter decorations
- The organization or support of various cultural, musical and sporting events as part of the guest programme (see calendar of events)
- The contribution to the Zurzi bus, which allows you to use the regular bus service free of charge with your guest card
